Kong Oil Bubble

Between solidity and fluidity, this reproduction explores the transformation of matter through transparency, light, and movement. The Kong becomes a testing ground where bubbles form, burst, and freeze in a delicate balance. The bubbles are distributed randomly, making each work unique.

Standing with his feet apart, his right leg forward and his knees bent, Kong lifts an oil drum above his head to repel the threat of pollution. Richard Orlinski sees his iconic hero as a near-perfect allegory of humanity, creating a powerful sculpture.
