The Kapopoulos Legacy
The Art Dose carries on the Kapopoulos legacy, an auction house that was founded back in 1991, when the art market in Greece was extremely niche. It was then that Kapopoulos Fine Arts decided to demystify all previous elitist practices that made art inaccessible and relevant only to the privileged few and worked hard towards establishing a totally new environment. Through its auctions and exhibitions, Kapopoulos continues, until today, its focused journey that practically made modern art what it is in Greece today. It keeps deconstructing the old status quo by re-establishing well established Greek artists and discovering exciting new talent with a distinctive voice. Kapopoulos is constantly expanding its already wide network by launching new Kapopoulos Fine Arts Galleries and Art Halls in Greece and Cyprus so that it becomes even more accessible and gives voice to its high aesthetics standards.
