List of products by Artist Cédric Bouteiller
Cédric Bouteiller was born in 1970. He is a painter, photographer and graphic designer. His ultramodern works are digital photographic compositions that he prints on aluminium and enriches with collages, drawings, tags or watercolors, which he covers in translucid resin.
Bouteiller studied Fine Arts and Philosophy in Marseilles, Aix-en-Provence. As a passionate traveler, the artist uses photographs that he took while walking through major cities. By transforming them with other materials he creates his abstractions. Architectural elements of cities like New York, Shanghai, Paris and Marseilles are accompanied with different symbols – a tag, a sign, human figures, and later on, they are altered by new technologies, collages, graphic design, drawing and painting. Bouteiller takes inspiration from consumerism and tries to turn it around, using humor and irony. Improvisation is the basis of his work, with influences from the so-called “Lyrical Abstraction” movement; he is a multi-facetted artist with three keystones: color, material and motion. Bouteiller’s work has been exhibited internationally, in many group or solo exhibitions, including the ones in the Fabien Castanier Gallery in Los Angeles, Artemisia Gallery in New York and Art-Addict Gallery in Biarritz, France. Recently, his art reached record breaking prices at several auctions.
